The Texas Energy Museum and the Beaumont Public Library will present two Bubble Day hands-on science programs for children this summer. The first program will be held at the Theodore Johns Library, 4255 Fannett Road, Beaumont, on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The second program will be held at the Rogers Park Community Center, near RC Miller Library, Gladys Avenue at Dowlen Road, on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Participants will be able to create and experiment with bubbles in a number of different activities. Encouraging learning science through fun, the program allows children to test bubble sizes, strength and color while discovering the physics of soap bubbles. Activities include creating bubble walls, making bubbles inside of bubbles, and being surrounded by a bubble.
Sponsored by Education First Federal Credit Union, the free “come-and-go” programs are designed for children ages 3 to 8. For more information, call the museum at 409-833-5100.
