Discover the exciting and fun process of raku firing on Saturday, October 13th from 10:00am – 4:00 pm. Particpants will glaze ceramic vessels and will observe their pottery being heated to a high temperature and then removed from the kiln and placed into a container with combustible materials and covered. The intense atmospheric reduction creates unexpected colors in the glazes and clay body. The workshop will be led by Greg Busceme, with years of ceramic artmaking and instruction.
Materials fee: $35. All materials are provided. **6 CPE credits available for participating Texas art teachers.
