Arts & Cultural Events in Southeast Texas

Art classes for children will begin on March 4 at Texas Artists Museum.  Each class will run from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for six weeks.  The price is $40 per month.  Children aged 8 to 15 will be accepted. 

Teachers will be Barbara Haviland and Dot Chauvin, who will train students in oil and acrylic painting.

Interested parents should call the museum at 409-983-4881 between noon and 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, for a list of supplies.  They must come to the museum to sign students up for the course.

The museum is located in Port Arthur, off Highway 73 and Ninth Avenue, across from the Civic Center.
